Red Cross Spokesperson

At my work station in the PVNGS JIC.
I was the Red Cross spokesman on Thursday
for a nuclear power plant disaster drill at the PVNGS Joint Information Center in Buckeye, Arizona.

I was expected to keep in contact with the Red Cross liaison at the state Emergency Operations Center to have the latest information about what we were doing. During this drill, we simulated sending volunteers to a Reception and Recovery Center and to a shelter, both located at different high schools outside the affected area.

Then, I was tasked to brief the media along with public information officers from other agencies. There were PIOs posing as reporters at the briefings, to ask tough questions.

I took this photo of a briefing when I wasn't up on the stage.
