And now I'm volunteering for the USO

So, I've joined the USO as a volunteer at the Dayton Airport. The USO is not part of the federal government. It's a congressionally chartered, private organization that relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations and corporations to support its activities, and volunteers to accomplish its mission of connection.

The USO core values are recognized as the foundation of its culture, brand and operating principles. All USO volunteers, as ambassadors of its mission, are expected to conduct themselves by these eight core values every day: Mission First, Do the Right Thing, Respect, Excellence, Collaboration, Accountability, Gratitude, and Innovation.  

Dayton Airport Lounge Volunteers responsibilities include:

• Greeting and signing in guests (all active duty, guard and reservist and their family members/guests) at the Front Desk
• Offering snacks and refreshments; a smile and/or hug when needed :)
• Provide a warm and welcoming environment
• Stocking inventory
• Keeping lounge clean 
• Providing information and referral services
• Receiving, recording and securing donations
