A taste of what a deputy does

I recently completed the Citizen's Academy offered by the Montgomery County (Ohio) Sheriff's Office, a 10-week evening course that focused on the values and philosophy of the MCSO. 

A wide variety of topics were covered, including those that are seen by the public and those areas seldom seen. Some of the topics taught were SWAT, K9, Crime Scene Investigation, a ride-along with a deputy, and use of force scenarios.
