My next presentation!

Lincoln Society meeting is Nov. 5
CENTERVILLE
The Lincoln Society of Dayton will meet from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5 at Woodbourne Library, 6060 Far Hills Ave.

The program is open and free to the public. The guest speaker will be Steven Solomon on Lincoln assassination artifacts.

Solomon was public affairs officer for six years at the National Museum of Health and Medicine in Washington, D.C., which was created in 1862 by the U.S. Army Surgeon General as the Army Medical Museum. Among the artifacts and specimens in the museum’s extensive collection are the bullet that killed Lincoln, strands of his hair, and fragments of his skull.

More recently, Solomon was a federal emergency response official with FEMA, and would deploy to presidentially declared disaster areas across the United States and Puerto Rico for up to three months at a time. He serves as the external relations lead of the Central and Southern Ohio Region of the American Red Cross.
